MINERS UNION, HARDWARE, SALOON & HOTEL

The "Original" is what started this whole project. When he was building and finished, Randy knew he found his hobby that he could enjoy. An artist by heart, he has drawn cartoon characters, did some oil paintings, worked on his Dad's HO model railroad, but finally found what he liked best. From this project, the name of "GHOST TOWNS of the OLD WEST" became Randy's Gallery.

From JUNK to this. Can you imagine his dad's thoughts as we are out in the middle of the desert collecting material! Shows you what dad's sometimes think they know. This group includes a Miner's Union, Hardware, Saloon, and Hotel with outhouse. Other details include a buckboard, watering troughs, hitching rails, barrels, staircase to the Hotel second floor with balcony. Even has a hanging tree for short people! Constructed in 1983 and is our show piece.

Materials used for this project are as follows: Fronts, sides, and backs of all the buildings from Dos Cabezas, Arizona. The trim, outhouse, buckboard as well as the base and back are from Dos Cabezas, Arizona. The tin roof, hotel railings, wheels, chimney's, and screen windows are from Johnson, Arizona. The boardwalk is from Tombstone, and the posts are from the White Mountains of Arizona.
