OLD WEST SCHOOL

Has anybody seen the teacher? I'll bet we painted the Church to look like the School House between page turning. I noticed one just like this on a program I was watching on the Discovery Channel a few weeks ago. Yes, we can build to a specific building. Have one in mind, just let us know!

Notice the shake shingle roof, railing and steps, sign above porch (will etch your favorite school on this one), and the bell in the tower. I tell most people that we get a ladder and move the bell out of the Old West Church and then take the bell and ladder over to the Old West School House. I do get some funny looks until I tell them I'm kidding. When asked where the material is from, I usually tell them the same old JUNK pile as the Church.

But seriously, everything is from Dos Cabezas, Arizona, except the base is 150 year old Tennessee barn wood. Now the bell still remained as our biggest problem. Thought maybe we could find two bells, but even a good magnet would only produce rusted cans. We bought this one!
